That's different to my assumptions. The direct import Postgis->GRASS via
v.in.ogr doesn't support schemas. OGR2OGR has only read support of GRASS
data. I think you should contact the GRASS list to mention the missing
schema support of v.in.ogr. I think that the missing schema support of
v.in.ogr is a fact of former ogr versions which doesn't support schemas.

Horst

Hello Dr. Horst Düster,
Thank you very much for kind reply.
I have been using ogr2ogr tool for converting and transferring vectors
data.
It's working already fine here. But I want to directly import PostGIS
layer
into GRASS using QGIS's grass plug-in. Unfortunately it wasn't working
in my
own compiled QGIS. Please find attached screen capture.
My task is that:
Convert a PostGIS vector to raster using attribute values.
My solution is that:
1. Import PostGIS vector layer into QGIS's GRASS vector layer using
QGIS's
grass plug-in (v.in.ogr)
2. Rasterizing imported vector layer using v.to.rast which is transforms
GRASS vector map layers into GRASS raster map layer format
What you think about my own combination?
Please consider following I want to use QGIS for my primary tool.
Best regards,
Byambaa Mendbayar

Hi Byambaa
OGR2OGR supports PostGIS schemas since version 1.40.
ogr2ogr -f postgresql "PG:dbname=... " shape -nln schema.tablename
should work.
Best regards

Dear Paolo Cavallini,
Thanks for reply to me. Also thanks for inform me.
I guess that OGR is already support for PostGIS schemas, only my
precompiled
GDAL/OGR isn't compiled for support PostGIS schemas. Is it possible? If
yes
do you know what configuration option should to turn on it when I
compile
GDAL/OGR from source, how can I build my own GDAL/OGR binary to QGIS
development environment?
Best regards,
Byambaa Mendbayar

Yes, I think this is a limitation of OGR (I may be wrong). I recall
having asked Frank Warmerdam, and he confirmed this.
In my view supporting schemas would be important, but apparently not
many people are interested.
All the best.
