[Qgis-developer] PyQt4 loading problems for QGIS 1.2 (trunk)

I didn't notice yesterday that I started qgis as a root (from a console after
building and installing the debs). Today I got "segmentation fault" (that's
the only message) trying to do that as a regular user. 
What would I need to solve the problem? Thank you in advance for any help!
