This sounds like a corrupted spatial index file. Can we have a look at
the shapefile that doesn't work well in ArcGIS?

SpatiaLite or not, shapefiles _should_ work correctly everywhere. Otherwise you're cutting out lots
of users.

MLFeV> Hi,

MLFeV> I'm having a weird problem with some shape-files. May be it's a QGIS- or
MLFeV> a ArcGIS Bug:
MLFeV> I'm managing a lineshape exported from an ArcGIS geodatabase into a
MLFeV> lineshape. Extracts (also done with ArcGIS) are edited in QGIS (by the
MLFeV> way: the editors find it much more comfortable to use QGIS for that. I
MLFeV> just have to use ArcGIS for extensive Topology testing). We are using
MLFeV> QGIS 1.2.0 unstable (Codestand 10965M on Windoof), because of some fixed
MLFeV> Bugs from earlier versions that hit us.
MLFeV> The problem is:
MLFeV> The shapes seem to be without any problem using QGIS, but when I add it
MLFeV> to ArcMap some Lines disapear at a specific Zoomlevel.
MLFeV> The problem disapears by exporting the shape from ArcMap into a new shape.
MLFeV> I'm not sure how to find the "guilty party" (well, I know who is the
MLFeV> guilty one in general). Is it QGIS creating dirty shapes? Or is it just
MLFeV> a Bug in ArcGIS? Honestly it's quite hard to get any support from ESRI.
MLFeV> Does anybody who is just in the Code able to say, if it could be QGIS or
MLFeV> ArcGIS doing something wrong?
