The data browser (code named GeoNibble at present) currently has the
following features:
* Browse directory tree
* Preview supported raster and vector layers
* Zoom and pan preview images
* View metadata for raster and vector layers
* Drag and drop support, including drop on QGIS

The browser is written in Python (PyQt) and requires the bindings for
QGIS and GDAL/OGR. It is in early stages of development but functions
pretty well as a data browser/preview/launcher.
