[Qgis-developer] Layer visibility shown in layers table

Hi qgis heroes,
I'm playing with min/max scale visibility range for layers in an
attempt to have some sort of automatic resolution switching.

Basically I have multiple layers for multiple resolutions and tweak
the scale range in some way.

Question1: am I doing it WRONG ? :) [ maybe there's a layers group for a start ? ]
Question2: does trunk give a visual sign for a layer being visible or not
           based on scale range ? [ I'm using 1.3.0 ]

I think it'd be very useful to have the second behaviour in general, so you
can easily see if a layer is being rendered or not (since the visibility
checkbox is always active no matter scale-based visibility...)
