To follow up on that windowsflags seems to be what we're looking for.
Unfortunately different window managers: Aqua, XFCE, Gnome etc all do
things a little differently.
I found http://qt.nokia.com/doc/4.5/widgets-windowflags.html
But haven't figured out where to change those in the qt designer yet.
