[Qgis-developer] change the color of line layer

Hi All,

I want to create the stand alone application in python, in which when i open
vector layers, in that i want to change the color of the layer. i am
succesfull in doing this for point and polygon layer but not for line layer.
Can anybody help in providing some coding help in Python.
