[Qgis-developer] [SOLVED] Qgis 1.4/1.5 crash when opening ECW on Windows 7

Hi, today I found a way to resolve this issue.

All what you must do is to:

 1) download latest FWTools for windows;
 2) open it with 7z or another program;
 3) navigate through bin folder and extract NCS*.dll (four files);
 4) copy them onto bin folder of QGIS.exe and remove the _fw from filename;

try it. If it doesn't still work, please create a new qgis.bat, set the
windows PATH to point first to the qgis bin folder, like this:

   PATH  <qgis bin folder>;%PATH%
   qgis.exe
