now I see what you want: manual editing of text labels, including 
position, rotation, anchor points (vertical/horizontal alignment), text 
style attributes, etc.

The infrastructure is there with the new label engine, but the manual 
editing part is not. But you can expect this manual editing 
functionality rather soon. Marco Hugentobler is currently working on it.
