Thanks for the reply.

I have just posted an update, as it now works. However, I did try both the standalone installer and OSGeo4W, both had the same error.

What version of QGIS?
Is it windows 7, 64 bit or 32 bit?

Did you install your QGIS from OSGeo4W or stand alone installer?
