hi,
QGIS 1.8 is still not able to acces postgresql databases with long (int*8)
primary keys.
In Openstreetmap, those tables have bigint/ int*8 primary keys.
At this time (4. june 2011) the bigges values are 1.311.718.773 for "nodes"
, 116.332.121 for "ways" and 1.611.666 for "relations", which are the
base-tables in that db.
Those tables don't have OIDs - they could be added by me but it won't help,
because the primary key of "nodes" will be bigger than 2G during this Year.
any ideas?
somebody posted, that this should be fixed in release 0.9 - 5 years ago :(
i found that ticket: https://trac.osgeo.org/qgis/ticket/62 but that seems to
be still open.
Regards
walter
