 "we"? Only if you already have ArcGIS! :)

 Of course its handy to be able to ask colleagues with ArcGIS to
convert an MXD someone has sent you, but often you can't do that
because of issues with data confidentiality. At least I suppose I can
go back to the original supplier and say 'can you run this conversion
tool and send me a .qgs file?'. But sometimes these things come from
online sources with no obvious contact.

 Anyhooooo, better than nothing!
