[Qgis-developer] translations

Hi all.
Currently, keeping translations in sync with the main manual is rather 
painful. A friend told me in other projects (apparently KDE is one) the 
are using scripts to extract text from LaTeX and prepare .po files, so 
that a translator is presente with the changed parts only, without 
having to deal with full TeX issues.
Anyone knows more about this?
