[Qgis-developer] map canvas does not update according to layers switched on

 Hi,

 I sometimes have the same annoying behavior. It appears more frequently 
 on Windows but sometimes also on Ubuntu Linux. This has been a problem 
 for a while, but only appears in some cases, not all cases. Hard to 
 replicate ... but annoying.
