[Qgis-developer] [WebClient] rule-based style SLOW

Hi,

I realized that using a rule-based style makes the client dead slow. 
Normally the log shows a timeout on the server for qgis_mapserv.fcgi. If 
I put the rules into the data source (postgres) and use a categorized 
style the client performs as expected. The slowliness can only be 
experienced when zooming or panning.

I prepared an example (will be probably removed in a couple weeks):

after loading please activate one of the layers and zoom in on the 
colored area in the south
rule-based style: loads forever (Navigation history brings you back)
categorized style: loads ok

if I enter the WMS request directly both layers load reasonably fast!?

System: QGIS 1.7.4 on OpenSuse 12.1, mod fcgi

any hints welcome
