[Qgis-developer] QGIS 1.8: Flickering white box when using drawing, modify or measure tools

Hi I have very annoying flickering white box when using drawing, editing
or measure tools. It seems that the box appears always when using some
rubber band items.

Debian Wheezy, Gnome 3, QGIS installed from  http://qgis.org/debian

Can anybody confirm ?
