[Qgis-developer] QGIS 1.8: Flickering white box when using drawing, modify or measure tools

I did some tests on Debian Squeeze machine (Gnome 2) with 1.7 and 1.8.
There are also some flickering stripes around rubber bands but less
annoying than in Debian Wheezy's Gnome 3.

Anybody else running Gnome 3 ?
