Here the steps:

* Open the shapefile http://hub.qgis.org/attachments/4524/poli_estradas_shp.zip
* Turn `Avoid intersections` on
* Digitize a polygon that spans both sizes of a road (polygon)
* The digitized shape is not show, but a record is added to the dbf
* Click save
* Crash

However, the crash disappears when plugins are turned off, so it must be a plugin
error, not a QGIS one.
