A first list is:

gdaltools (what is not removed)
ftools (what is not removed)
sextante (ok with solution #3)
interpolation plugin
terrain analysis plugin
heathmap plugin
grass (might be left as it is, as it has a rather different usage)
save (selection) as

check other plugins, core and not (for the non-core, we should give
guidelines or templates for this).
