[Qgis-developer] Feature Attribute values

Hi All

I am trying to select all features in a layer where the value of a
particular attribute is something specific.
I would then like to iterate over each of these features and validate
certain other attributes and update other attributes based on whether that
validation passes or fails.

Any idea how I can do something like this in Python?
