[Qgis-developer] Remaining work to get rid of old labeling?

labeling speed is not a blocker for 2.0... agreed.

curve labeling miss options, it's true. But it  also stops labeling too
easily if line is not smooth enough, or is too short for label.. Sounds more
like improvement than new features. 

I keep your idea of integrating easy custom labeling in core. ;-)  Still
there are two dependancies:
- integrate also memory layer saver plugin
- have API break concerning field and fetch stuff comitted. Maybe it's
already done? 

Last thing, Easy custom labeling as a 'generate arrows' function, that is
not satisfying to me. Integrate them into labeling layer directly and have
an option to show it would be better. (change feature type from point to
line and update it if label is moved. Let's keep it for 2.1. for now.
