[Qgis-developer] commandline startup option changed in master

Hi, 
I'm testing --configpath option in master and 1.8. Behaviour is different
(Windows):
- 1.8: using -- configpath option moves only profile (.qgis. gdal param,
etc). Qsettings stay in system location (registry for Windows)
- 1.9: using -- configpath moves profile + registry. 

Is that normal behaviour? What is the real target ? 
I vote for 1.8 behaviour since using regedit tools to manage all users
parameters on different servers or PC is powerfull for admins. 

Do I open a ticket?
