Hi Lee,

as Gino points, we are actually building pdf's of all versions of the
different documentation manuals, eg:

http://docs.qgis.org/2.0/pdf/QGIS-testing-PyQGISDeveloperCookbook-en.pdf

So
http://docs.qgis.org/2.0/pdf for 2.0 branch docs
http://docs.qgis.org/testing/pdf for testing docs
and only the manual for 1.8:
http://docs.qgis.org/1.8/pdf/

It's also possible to build this yourself off course, I think Sphinx can
also output epub format if you really want/need.
