[Qgis-developer] Rastermap Render-type Paletted

Hi Devs!

Just a short Question..
When I load a Rastermap and go to Properties -> Style ..
Whats the meaning of
Render type -> Paletted

I cannot find any "add value" button or something like that ..
Seems to me that I am missing some more buttons there ..

Or am I just misunderstanding the "Palleted" type?

Is this a bug? Shall I file a report for it .. Or is it meant to be so?
