[Qgis-developer] Splash screen for 2.0

Hi,

Here is my try for a splash-screen:

and
http://www.carto.net/neumann/temp/qgis_splashscreen.svgz (with a
high-resolution Inkscape source file - for you to play around and
change) - warning: does not display equally in the web browser than in
Inkscape. Requires Ubuntu font.

I personally like the modern map graphic better than the old style map.
Just my opinion.

When choosing the map extent it is important that both "Dufourspitze"
and "Monte Rosa" remains legible.
