FOR Disaster Management Software Development (InaSAFE)
 
Australian Government through the Australia-Indonesia Facility for Disaster Reduction (AIFDR) are committed to developing open source disaster management tool for Indonesia.  This request for written quote is seeking a software engineering team with five years or more experience in open source software development to continue the development of InaSAFE (www.inasafe.org). InaSAFE was developed in partnership with Indonesia Government-BNPB, Australian Government-AIFDR and the World Bank’s Global Facility for Disaster Reduction and Recovery (GFDRR). InaSAFE combines available science with locally-collected geospatial information to simulate disaster events and provide planning scenarios as maps, statistics and actions.
 
The initial contract will be for eight months (May 2014-December 2014) for a maximum of AUD240,000 including travel. However, if circumstances are favourable the contract may be signed for a longer period and/or extended with additional milestones.
