BTW, the server throws an error when layers are added from the browser:

Map request error (Title:Eccezione servizio; Error:La richiesta contiene un formato
non disponibile dal server.
Questo il report restituito dalla sorgente WMS:
msWMSLoadGetMapParams(): Image handling error. Unsupported output format ().
