[Qgis-developer] Transparencies not passed to server?

Hi all,
in a project of mine, a layer 50% transparent, with different colours,
is rendered very differently by the server (a more or less uniform
grey). In previous versions of the server it was OK. Is this a known
problem?
I can set up a sample project to show this, it that helps.
