exactly... I'm following these instructions.

that's weird.. it seems it is installed:

matteo at debian:~/lavori/QGIS/QGIS$ aptitude search libgeos
p   libgeos++-  - Geometry engine for GIS - C++ development files
i A libgeos-3.4.2 - engine for Geographic Information Systems - C++ Library
i A libgeos-c1 - engine for Geographic Information Systems - C Library
p libgeos-dbg - symbols for the GEOS library
i   libgeos-dev - engine for GIS - Development files
p libgeos-doc - for the GEOS GIS geometry engine library
p   libgeos-ruby1.8  - Transitional package from libgeos-ruby1.8 to
ruby-geos

can I give you some other useful information to find the error?

Thanks again!

Matteo
