[Qgis-developer] Alternative opensource LiDAR las/laz library?

Hi!

I'd like to add LiDAR file import support to a tool I'm writing, but the
laslib and laszip libraries are LGPL, which is an issue for me because I
target OSs where dynamic libraries are not always possible.

Do you know of any MIT (or similar) licensed lib capable of reading LiDAR
1.3 files in LAS and LAZ format?
