[Qgis-developer] no SAGA in QGIS 2.8.1 and QGIS Master

Hi all,
it seems that SAGA is not recognized by QGIS (2.8.1 and compiled master).
In the Processing options all the checkboxes are there, but nothing changes
in the toolbox.

I'm on a debian testing machine and SAGA version is 2.1.2 and I can
correctly use it as standalone.

It sounds weird, but I'm out of ideas..
