[Qgis-developer] 3D support

Hi all.
Is the vector 3D support documented somewhere? I'm interested in:
* how to display the type of geometry 3D (pointZ etc.)
* what is the support in PostGIS and SpatiaLite provider, and in their
import/export towards shapefile.
Is anybody working on this? Is this part of the geom overhaul by Marco?
