[Qgis-developer] How should the dissolve tool in Processing work?

Have a look into the Dissolve with stats plugin.

For each field, the user can choose what "stat" to use. The attribute name
will be maintained since only one stat can be calculated for each
attribute. You can discard the fields that you have no interest in maintain

If I remember well, ArcGIS does it differently. For each field, you can
choose several stats. The resulting attribute name will be a combination of
the original name and s stat suffix.
