[Qgis-developer] is cache for network working in proxied environment

Hi devs,

I am using a lot of wms services as we have nice reference maps online.
Those services are normally working great, except when I work in an
environment where there is a network proxy running: I have to put the
right parameters in Qgis Network settings to let QGIS find plugins etc
etc...

Question: the WMS/WMTS services there are awfully slow. And I was
wondering if this can have something to do with the firewall (does maybe
not honor parallel requests??) ...
OR that the cache mechanism is maybe not working because of the proxy...

I had a look in the cache directory and see files with a '.cache'
-extention. Looking into the files these are binary files, but I see
http-headers in it...

Anyway. Do people working in a proxied env have the same experience?
Or can they confirm 'it just works'...

Can the dev's who are familiar with the caching system confirm that it
should work in a proxied (squid) environment?

Regards,

Richard Duivenvoorde
