[Qgis-developer] Symbol preview in style dialog/panel shows full symbol name

Hi,

While testing the resource sharing plugin, I found that some symbols cause
the preview area to change behavior and show the full symbol name instead
of cutting it off at some fixed length.

Here you can see the fixed length in the style manager versus the full
length in the style panel:

The full length names make the preview area really messy and uses up a lot
of space. Any idea what causes this behavior?
