[Qgis-developer] Script: unable to render map in PDF via python script

Hi to everybody,

I tried the script from Kartoza (and that from the first comment):

using a simple project with one postgres layer and a  simple qpt print
template (consisting of one map composer item), it produces a PDF with
an empty map.

Can you help me in fixing the script?

I'm trying this with QGIS 2.14.4.
