[Qgis-developer] Usability of searches

Hi all,

Thanks for the good feeback!
Indeed, I am totally open to any contribution.

This discussion made me think that a first step to bringing to core
would be to port to core the widget (search combobox), the base class
for searching thread and to have a searching engine registry (like layer
registry).

Hence, any plugin or whatever could add their own searcing engine. The
UI would be kept consistent, and the searches centralized in a single place.

Nice project for the next HF ;)
