[Qgis-developer] Autotrace stopped working?

This is what I did:
* load a polygon layer
* set the snapping options to 10 pixel, vertex only
* start editing
* click on Enable tracing
* click on Add feature
* first click outside current polygons, second close to it (I see the
pink cross indicating snap)
* I move close to the border, but no polygon is traced.
