[Qgis-developer] LIDAR in QGIS

Hello,

a few days ago I have taught a two hour workshop with the LAStools and
LAStools Production toolboxes using QGIS 2.14.1 Essen at the QGIS
conference in Girona. We did two different processing workflows and used it
across the15 different laptops of the attendees running three operating
systems without any major issues. So it certainly works.

An updated version of the LAStools and LAStools Production toolboxes was
created during the following hackfest to include more features and new
tools including the Potree based 'laspublish' [1] ... but more on that
later.
