I am using python for programming. I want to load quantum gis (run time) without the menus and i also want to add my own menu.<br>

I will try to implement what option you have told.<br>

Assuming that you are using c++ something like this should work from the<br>
plugin api:<br>

qGisInterface->layerMenu()->hide();<br>
<br>
