IMHO svg, dxf and dgn are pretty much the same. They are all graphics based formats.<br>Of course dxf and dgn also have 3D drawings, but information is stored in style, colour and thickness.<br>This way I think that it's more representative to have a dxf with the styled data (as svg) than a dxf with just the lines.<br>
Well, playing a little with ogr and dxf I can see that it looks similar to dgn.<br>It may be only an impression, but ogr could be used to represent the information in a graphic way.<br>Not exactly as svg as I supose it uses the format in it's full implementation to represent some hard graphics. <br>
Do you think it's possible? Something like a simple exporter to fill the default attributes (Layer, SubClasses, ExtendedEntity, Linetype, EntityHandle, Text)? Wouldn't it mean more than the regular "You can't export" message?<br>
