Hi Nyall,

The SVG cache problem is a minor issue in my opinion. I'd rather have SVG files render correctly in print composer and support overriding of graphics properties.

Thanks a lot for researching/dealing with this!

Here's a PR which fixes it:

https://github.com/qgis/QGIS/pull/2876

But it's also a feature, so not sure if it's suitable for backporting
to 2.14. In any case extensive testing would be very much appreciated!

One last thing... since this switches the composer picture to use the
SVG cache for rendering svg files, it opens the composer up to
http://hub.qgis.org/issues/13565. I'm not sure if that's an issue or
not.

Feedback welcome!

Nyall

I've had a look at this, and it was actually a really old commit which
caused it (12 Oct last year)... Strange that no one's picked this up before
now!

The fix will be for someone to implement http://hub.qgis.org/issues/13326,
and then get permission to backport this feature as a fix to 2.14.

Nyall
