[Qgis-psc] unofficial C++ plugins

Hi all.
I feel a bit unease about a couple of very interesting plugins not being
included in main src:

http://biodiversityinformatics.amnh.org/open_source/evis/
I think they are a very useful addition to QGIS, and in the current
situation very few people will be able to use them effectively (most
people are too lazy or unskilled to take the trouble).
I do not understand why Peter Erst is not committing them. Does anybody
share my feelings?
Do you think it would be good to put some pressure on Peter to commit?
