Welcome to the dev team!
Could you confirm that you have read and agree with the contributors 
guidelines (http://www.qgis.org/wiki/Contributor_Guidelines)?

e.g. like in

http://lists.osgeo.org/pipermail/qgis-psc/2011-December/000986.html

Tim may then enable push access on  github.
