The forum would have closed a year ago if I had not kept it running on my server. 

I think there is a large gap between the developer and user community with regard to support methods.

Some people relied on the forum solely for support. Others think our support mechanisms are fragmented and strongly dislike forums. Maybe closing it will force some useful discussion.
