Hi all.
The money is now in our account. The sponsorship is therefore effective.
This binds us to add their logo to:
● QGIS brochure (30 by 20 mm)
● Official QGIS poster (60 by 40 mm)
● Front page of qgis.org (100 by 60 pixels)
● An improved sponsors dialog in the Help (300 by 200 pixels)
● Public communications (e.g. Release announcements) (100 by 60 pixels)
● Other QGIS community web properties (100 by 60 pixels)
● Where the ratio of the sponsor’s logo differs from the above
dimensions, logo proportions and white
space will be used for the remaining area.
Furthermore:
● An auxiliary agreement is provided as a special case (see Annexure 1)
whereby the PSC will
commission the creation of a custom Windows ‘standalone’ installer for
the sponsoring entity and will in
part sponsor the backporting of bug fixes and creation of stable ‘point’
software releases.
● Provide the following services for the Sponsoring Entity:
1. Perform maintenance on stable releases by performing backports of
fixes and issuing regular bugfix
releases.
2. Create a custom, ‘branded’ version of the QGIS installer for windows
for each official software release.
This custom installer version shall include the Land Use Change Toolkit
plugin developed by AAS with
branding etc. ‘out of the box’.
3. This customized version will include a customised splash screen,
installation graphical interface and
logo in QGIS and may be distributed by AAS in REDD/REDD+ projects in
developing countries where
the internet connection is usually very slow.
4. If the Land Use Change Toolkit meets QGIS Project quality, human
interface, licensing and coding
standards, the plugin will be incorporated into the mainstream releases
of QGIS. In the event that it is
accepted into the mainstream version of QGIS, please note that our
application branding rules preclude
the inclusion of any vendor logos or branding within the plugin itself.
I can do my part, but several tasks are out of my power, so I would
appreciate if each task would be assigned to somebody.
BTW, I met them (the Chief of the Overseas Division, and the
Vicepresident, and of course Matteo). I believe it has been a very
fruitful meeting, and that this will strengthen their commitment to QGIS.
All the best, and thanks.
