So yes I agree it would be worthwhile to:

* trademark the brand names QGIS and Quantum GIS
* finalise the logo (there was some discussion of holding a logo
revision contest, though seems to be dead ended)
* ask osgeo if it is ok for us to more or less verbatim use the text
of their trademark page
* add it to the governance documentation with incoming links from web
site and other places as needed
