I'm surprised. When I checked the GH bug tracker features about a year ago, it 
was 100 times worse than redmine/trac. I would ask the Mapserver guys first, 
whether they are happy with the move from Trac to GitHub.
One main reason for choosing Redmine for bug tracking was Paolos requirement 
to have an aggregated view of QGIS and Core plugin bugs.
