Could I suggest that we ask if Juergen and Martin are available and split
the time between them? My feeling is they would be able to make the
greatest impact in the course of a couple of weeks.

Personally I don't think asking on the developer list would be productive
(though advertising our plans would be good), and appealing on the users
list for funds might be good.
