Please could other PSC members confirm? Or shall I consider the work
as confirmed?

I have not been to the PSC meeting and I was not aware of the plan
before reading Paolo's mail here. I would be of course very happy to
participate in bugfixing, but first I would like to make sure that PSC
agrees...
